‘The Dog Stars’
The Dog Stars 2025
Ridley Scott's post-flu-pandemic thriller from Peter Heller's novel, adapted by Mark L. Smith. Elordi is Hig and Brolin is Bangley at a Colorado airfield (shot in Italy). The aerial photography is beautiful and the pacing is dead on arrival; the Carhartt stays immaculate. The Grand Junction cannibal-colony turn is a film invention absent from the book.
