Black Panther: Wakanda Forever 2022
Coogler and co-writer Joe Robert Cole return without Chadwick Boseman. Van loved it and thinks it tops the first; Sean and Amanda found it overstuffed: grief, allyship, Namor's origin, an Ironheart backdoor pilot, and MCU phase-four setup all fighting for room. Agreement on the bookends (the opening and Shuri's arc), Namor (Tenoch Huerta) as the best element, and Ruth Carter's costumes; complaints about the CGI action, Riri Williams feeling wedged in, and Lake Bell's dropped subplot.
